From my experience as a youth director, public school teacher, Young Life leader, and father, I’ve learned a few things about what it takes to be a good parent. These 5 things aren’t all it takes, but for me they are a good starting point.

Below is the video they thought was so awesome, because she couldn’t understand how Jesus could learn about himself. To them, that was an example of Jesus not being God. To me it’s an example of a human being wanting to learn more about how God could be a human – something none of us can truly comprehend, but that’s true nonetheless. For the record, when I say to her that Jesus read the Bible, I didn’t literally mean the Bible, but the Hebrew scriptures that Jesus would have had.

I’ve had quite a bit of feedback from a vlog post I did last week. I’m not sure if some people didn’t watch the video, they’re just confused, or they really just enjoy being hateful. Hopefully this will help.

Teenagers are interesting folks to talk to about obeying the laws of the land. Pot, alcohol, speeding, the list of things our government regulates that a lot of people frequently ignore can be extensive.

This video is time-lapsed from a 2-minute period of time and it shows Chicago on the 4th of July night. Fireworks are illegal in Chicago. It could be a good discussion starter about government, laws, and Christianity. Romans 13 is a good place to start.
