Senator Rubio is destined to be President of the United States one day. Check out what he says about the debt limit debate and all of it without a teleprompter.

We can argue all day long about whether the ends justifies the means, but can we at least be honest like Obama’s CIA Director, Leon Panetta, and acknowledge that waterboarding did in fact play a role in the mission of finding Osama bin Laden.

Here’s what he had to say.

Just saw a video of President Obama saying the American people don’t want the government to rehash the political fights of the last 2 years.

With all due, Mr. President, I think that’s exactly what we want.

In fact, all the political pundits and most politicians are saying that this election was not an endorsement of Republicans, but a repudiation of the Democrat policies that have been forced down our throats for the past 2 years.  What in particular were the voters repudiating?  Mainly two things: out of control spending & the healthcare legislation.

Except for the most liberal geographic areas of our country, voters decided to take out almost anyone who possibly might vote along with the President’s agenda, the agenda that he pushed for the past 2 years.  Even Blue-Dog Democrats who voted against Obamacare were fired.  Allahpudit points out why.

precisely because Obama “accomplished” so much over the past two years, my hunch is that swing voters went to the polls in many (but not all) cases thinking they had to apply the brakes irrespective of how their individual Democratic rep might have voted. Even if he/she voted no on O-Care, he/she might turn around and vote yes on amnesty, cap-and-trade, or whatever else The One is ready to unleash from Pandora’s Box. The only way to tie his hands securely was to nuke as many Democratic incumbents as possible and make sure there was no more majority to enable him. That’s the message he’s not getting.

So, it only makes sense that Americans have put people into office with the expectation that they will indeed fight the same fight that frankly, you Mr. President, did not allow the Republicans to fight in the first place. We want a fair fight for ideas.  That’s really all we want.

I am pleased to hear that Representative Boehner plans to be what he’s supposed to be, a representative of the people.  As such, he’s committed, to fight to repeal Obamacare.

Is that possible in Washington D.C.?

A leader knows what he believes, makes decisions based up those beliefs, and (this is the key) draws others to his point of view.

Leaders don’t compromise.  They lead.  Senator Reid says the parties need to work together.  That’s what they American people want.  Not true.  Congress is not set up for cooperation.  It is set up for competition.  It is set up so the best ideas win.  Compromising on principle leads to mediocre results for both sides.  No, leaders go full speed ahead and bring the people with them.

President Obama is not a good leader.  He knows what he believes and makes decisions based upon his beliefs, but he has failed to draw others to his point of view.  Sure, he seemed to be able to do that when he was running for office, but what was his stated point of view?  What was it he wanted to do?  He wanted to hope & he wanted to change things.  That’s all we were told, but really did we know what that meant?
